Organic Gardens

Fertile GroundWorks is a nonprofit with the mission to encourage, empower, and teach individuals and communities to grow healthy, nutritious food, organically and sustainably.  They grew over 20,000 pounds of organic produce in 2019 to feed the poor and homeless in Alameda County’s Tri-Valley region. In addition, there is a seasonal You-Pick Market Garden making organic produce available to the local community. Fertile GrownWorks is planting 250 varieties of fruits and vegetables this summer. It is an amazing garden to get your locally grown organic vegetables.

Getting right kinds of healthy fats into your body and avoiding the worst fats is essential to optimal health.
